VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL -- Children ages 3 through the 5th grade.  VBS

will take place on July 10th through 14th, from 5pm till 7:30 p.m.  Join us this summer

for a cool time of music, stories, and good old VBS. For more information, please see

METROPOLITAN FAMILY! Join us in Walker Park (south lot) on July 15, 2023

from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm for our Annual Picnic. Instead of asking everyone to bring a

prepared dish, we only ask for specific items (fruit, potato salad, macaroni salad,

water, sodas, juices, desserts). There will be a list to sign in the foyer. The committee is

also accepting monetary donations. Just mark on your collection envelope, “2023

PICNIC”. Come and fellowship with us. Please come prepared for the heat (hats,

canopies) as there are no trees. There will be games and entertainment for all ages. If you

Dear Metro members and friends, You are invited to join our,

GETTING TO KNOW GOD. MONTHLY MOVIE MATINEE, every third Thursday of the month

from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. +.  This month's showing on July 20th is, "Secrets of

Jonathan Sperry".  Our own Sis. Sadiqa Harris will facilitate this session and bring us

to sound Biblical Information on the LORD our Peace.  Bring your lunch if

you wish and the Circles will provide other refreshments.  SEE YOU AT THE MOVIES

SENIORS ON THE GO! (OVER THE AGE OF 50) - Are to have a “Meet &

Greet” on 5th Sunday, July 30 at 1:00pm, at Mijares Restaurant, 145 Palmetto Dr., Pasadena. We

will be discussing summer travels and events. Menu will only be chicken/ beef nachos and a

fountain drink. Sign-up sheet will be in the church foyer. Deadline for sign-up will be Sunday,

July 23rd. See you there!

FOR YOU TO KNOW: New parking restrictions for street sweeping Altadena.

This is to improve water quality and keep roads clean. On Figueroa Drive, from Lincoln

Avenue to Fair Oaks Avenue, NO PARKING on the south side of the street on

Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. No Parking signs will be posted and enforced by

Winter 2023, per Los Angeles County Public Works. Any questions or comments, please

METRO FAMILY!  The clothes giveaway ministry needs clean, slightly used clothing

for our clothes giveaway which is every first Saturday, from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.  It is

not too early to do your spring/summer closet clean-out. Feel free to drop off clothing on

1st Saturday morning, or contact the church office to drop off prior to.  If you have any questions contact Mildred Hudson at (626) 791-3369.


Help Wanted: The Audio/Media Ministry is seeking volunteers to assist in

operating our sound board, working our computers, managing our social media accounts

and updating our Website. Training is available. If you can dedicate one Sunday out of

the month it would be greatly appreciated. Please see Deacon Leonard Brown, Jr. for

more details and to sign up.
